Echo of the Heart

To be upset is an emotion, it goes away
But what do you do when you start feeling hopeless
When you find youself falling deeper and deeper in a pit

The noises of everyone around getting bleaker and bleaker
Your senses grappling to find sense with your surrounding

Monotony then hides the rainbows of life
You seem to cry but no sound is made, no tear is dropped
Suffocating yourself in a closed space
Slowly you start losing yourself completely

Yet in this losing there is a gain
Coz this is the moment you find yourself making that last effort
To scream, to let people know, to let the dams in your mind flood open the repressed passion

But it is too late now
The pit is sealed
The mind rests
The heart still aches
But the nightmare has ended

Pierre Joubert

This site is a hommage to Pierre Joubert, one of the greatest illustrators ever lived. He was born in Paris (june 27, 1910 and died in La Rochelle on January 13, 2002). On Wikipedia is suggested that (quote): ¨He had a controversial site. He has been tarred with collaboration with the Nazis during Worldwar II¨. Documents, however, have proved that this is not true. Intimi have confirmed that.
